CAPRICORN SEASON

December 21st, 2023 - January 20th, 2024

Capricorn Season is in full swing, and we’ll be feeling the sway between earth and water all season long!

This isn’t your typical season of the sea-goat.  We begin with Mercury retrograde IN Capricorn, causing us to experience struggles with our usual momentum.  This is always a time of year when we focus on work.  Whether it’s checking off the holiday to-do list, getting end-of-the-year tasks finished up, or stepping into the new year with a motivated stride, Capricorn energy has a way of pushing us into a “get it done” kind of mood. However, a Mercury retrograde in Capricorn tells us to SLOW DOWN and take time to consider all options and scenarios.  And if we don’t slow down, Mercury might interfere with our plans and make us.  Don’t be surprised if you experience communication mishaps this season, contractual confusions, or an unexpected rerouting of your logistics and planning. Be open and flexible this time of year.  It may be more difficult to stay on course with your expected journey

Your energy and focus will become more direct as the season moves on. In true Capricorn fashion, we will see ourselves move from backwards to direct over the next few weeks.  This season has Chiron, Jupiter, and Mercury all shifting from retrograde to direct, and this will pave the way for us to move forward towards our dreams and intentions a little more smoothly.  If things are a bit bumpy over the next few weeks, take note.  Similar to the way an adjustment sometimes requires force, everything in your world is happening right now to realign your back on track to where you need to be.

Although Mercury Retrograde shifts to Sagittarius two days into Capricorn season and encourages us to be more optimistic, we might still feel the waters of our emotions taking over more than we want to this Capricorn season.  This year’s Christmas will be influenced by a Full Moon in Cancer, bringing in deep emotion and reflection.  Mix in Mercury Retrograde, and we could get quite expressive or emotional toward those around us.  Take caution when spending time with family these last few weeks of the year, and make sure to mind the topics you’re talking about to prevent anything from steering the wrong way.

The Full Moon in Cancer will also inspire us to return to “home,” whether that be our actual home, spaces that make us feel safe, or our own bodies.  This moon is known as the “Cold Moon,” the “Long Night’s Moon,” and the “Big Bear’s Moon”.  All names emphasize a turning within.  Make sure to take time to tend to yourself under this last full moon of the year, and let go of anything that doesn’t make you feel safe, supported, and secure.

Chiron, the asteroid known as “The Wounded Healer,” moves direct on the same day as the Cancer Full Moon.  This cosmic shift will encourage us to heal up our wounds for good.  Any traumas, emotional challenges, or deep-seated wounds that may have risen up this past shadow season will now start to ease their pressure on you.  Capricorn energy is about getting real and handling business.  If there is anything you still need to focus on, The Universe will have a way of preventing you from avoiding it over the next few weeks.  Pull up your energetic bootstraps and tend to your emotional alchemy!  It’s time to get yourself ready for what’s to come in 2024, and you don’t need any old “stuff” lingering around and holding you back!

We are learning to detach from old wounds and programming in order to grow.  On the night of December 30th, Jupiter will join Chiron and also go direct.  If you’ve felt any road blocks on the journey toward your dreams this should clear around the end of the year.  When Jupiter is retrograde, we are being asked to be REALLY SURE about what we want and where we are headed.  Being such a large planet and so far away, this retrograde takes some time to give us the necessary portal of trial and error it takes to get serious.  Jupiter has been retrograde since September 4th.  Ask yourself what you’ve been working on from then to now.  What seems to be working out, and what seems to be going in the wrong direction?  Use these last few days of the year to reflect and take note.  As Jupiter moves forward with you into 2024, you will carry a different magnetic attraction toward what you desire.  Get focused on your intentions, start hammering out all of the details, and get excited about what you have the potential to manifest in your future with the biggest planet of the galaxy on your side!  So much can happen in your future, if you create the space for it!

On the evening of January 1st, two days after Jupiter goes direct, Mercury in Sagittarius also moves out of the retrograde party and gives us all a fresh breath of new beginnings in the new year. Having this forward movement occur on the first day of 2024 is quite auspicious, and gives us a particular momentum to start heading toward our intentions earlier than usual.  This won’t necessarily be the time to start working on New Year’s Resolutions (save that for the New Moon in Capricorn on the 11th), but it will be a supportive time to bring in the exact details of our resolutions and perhaps some of the steps it takes to get there.  With Mercury and Jupiter going direct within the same portal, you may also find the networking you need to move forward with more ease.  If certain people, circumstances, or opportunities come your way the first few weeks of the year, don’t brush them off!  The Universe will be setting up your “dream team” with all of the players you need this next year in order to become successful.

On January 4th, one week before the Capricorn New Moon, Mars will also enter Capricorn and influence you to work harder on your intentions.  This sign is one of the hardest working in the zodiac, and when you have The Planet of Work and Taking Action aligning here you receive a natural push to start doing more.  If you don’t feel like shifting around the first of the year, it’s natural.  Give it a few days and see how you feel between the 4th and the 11th instead.

When the New Moon arrives in Capricorn on the morning of 1/11, you will feel much more inspired to move toward your intentions.  While New Moons always make you feel a little heavy, tired, and less motivated, the New Moon in Capricorn will ground you more into your intentions instead.  The first few days of the moon cycle are about creating space for your dreams as much as figuring them out.  Use the lunar portal to do what you need to in order to get more real about what you’re working toward.

On January 13th we will get one more chance with Mercury in Capricorn, this time without the retrograde.  This means the Sun, Mars, Mercury, and a lingering Moon will all be holding on the energy of The Cosmic Mermaid.  Pluto will also join the Capricorn party during this time!  With so much of this sign influencing the planets, we will feel a strong reality check!  If you’re looking for the motivation or inspiration to start working toward something, just be patient!  You’ll get it during the last week of Capricorn season if you haven’t by then!

On the morning of January 20th, we will shift into Aquarius season and into the vibration of socialization and storytelling rather than retreat and work.  Whatever steps we have taken during Capricorn season, whatever “work” we’ve done, will start to connect outward to where we need to go or who we need to meet in order to take our next step.  Keep this in mind while you’re in the “planning stages” these season.  Whatever action, thought, and creative effort you take now has the potential for a positive return back to you in 2024.

SAGITTARIUS SEASON

November 22nd - December 21st, 2023

Sagittarius Season is here, loves, and after that intensely watery Scorpio season, we could all use the extra fire!

If you’ve been navigating a powerful shadow season this year, Sagittarius now enters the cosmic room and brings her shining light to brighten the mood.  We see this energy all around us as the holiday season sets in, lights are strung, and trees are trimmed.  This is a season of celebration, and as we reflect on our harvest’s bounty this year we find gratitude for all we have cultivated and all that has come serendipitously along the way.

This is the first Sagittarius season in quite some time that we haven’t had a cosmic shakeup.  The previous Gemini-Sagittarius Eclipse Cycle brought us eclipses in Sagittarius both of December 2020 and 2021. We all know how those years impacted the collective, but it may be useful now to look back on those times and see how things have changed.  In particular, look at the eclipses of June 5th and December 14th of 2020, and May 26th and December 4th of 2021.  Everything we went through at that time was preparing us for the growth we are now stepping into and maybe even the harvest we are now collecting..  Can you now see how the Divine plan was carried out?!

If you can’t see it yet, things may come more to light on November 27th under the Gemini Full Moon.  Gemini is the sign of The Cosmic Mirror, and the energy has a way of showing us what we need to truly see in both ourself and others.  Use the full moon portal to fully focus on what is being illuminated.  It’s drawing your attention for a reason.

The holidays tend to be a time of reflection, but you may also find yourself craving travel this time of year.  Sagittarius is known as The Cosmic Traveler, and the energy prefers to explore the world all over.  When they can’t physically go to a place, they travel there in their mind through books, movies, documentaries etc.  If there’s been a certain culture, place, or lifestyle you’ve wanted to learn more about, now is the season to study.  If you’ve been wanting to actually go somewhere, now is the time to make plans.

The key word is PLANS.  Last year we navigated a Mercury Retrograde during Sagittarius Season, and this year is no different.  Mercury goes Retrograde in Sagittarius on November 12th or 13th, depending where you live, and within 24 hours of the Sagittarius New Moon.  This alignment warns us to be patient with any travel that takes place through January 1st, because redirections and cancellations could occur.  While it will again be Divinely attuned for you to end up where you are when you do, it may be better to stay home if you prefer for itineraries to be carried out to a T.

No matter what happens this season, you will likely have a more positive attitude about it than usual.  Sagittarius is known as The Cosmic Optimist and has a way of shifting our perspective.  The fire she embodies has a way of fueling our joy and helping us to see the bliss in our experiences.  The same fire also helps burn away things with ease.  If you experience disappointment or let down over the next few weeks, do your best to find techniques to help let it all go.

If things aren’t going your way right now, or if something happens to disrupt your flow, you have the opportunity with Sagittarius Season to start over and focus on what you truly want.  This sign is sometimes known as The Cosmic Hunter, Huntress, or Archer, and the energy is known for taking aim and following through.  Aligning with nature, this also tends to be hunting season in North America.  If there’s something you desire to gain, or a goal you’ve been trying to reach, now is the time to put your energy into making it all your reality.

If you’re still leaning into the belief that failure is inevitable, remember, the season has shifted!  We are no longer in the energy of Scorpio’s mystery.  We now move into more positive, promising times!  Neptune, the Planet of Dreams and Illusion, has been spinning backwards for some time now.  On December 6th the trajectory moves forward again, and the direct stationing of Neptune will give us more clarity on where we are headed.  Pay special attention to your signs, guides, messages, and internal dialogue between December 6th and the first of 2024.  This is a time when much direction may come through from the other side.

On December 21st we will move into serious, earth-drawn Capricorn Season, and the energy will shift again.  Whatever you try to work on now will start to ground into realty at that time.  Take advantage of the energy at hand!  Navigating Sagittarius Season is like having your own personal cheerleader by your side whenever you need it.  Whatever you aim to do right now in order to evolve and raise your vibration, you have the utmost cosmic support to see yourself through to the other side.

SCORPIO SEASON

October 23rd - November 22nd, 2023

We are halfway through Scorpio season, and I am finally feeling ready to channel insights and guidance.

…I’m also just coming out of my Reiki Master training and attunement, and I’m feeling much more grounded and able to tune in!

Scorpio season is always an interesting time for me.  My father was a Scorpio, and losing him to death put me on this entire path of my spirituality and the career I’ve developed today.  I also happened to journey to India on a spiritual pilgrimage in the Scorpio season of 2017, and what happened there shaped the person I am today.

…I also feel that it was no coincidence the alignment of my energetic Master attunement occurred not only during Scorpio season, but with the Scorpio New Moon portal!

Scorpio embodies the energy cycle of life, death, rebirth, transformation, regeneration, and evolution.

Even the sign itself embodies two more archetypes beyond the scorpion.  Its energy is so magickal, it must be contained by more than one type of being.  Even the sign itself many times gets confused for an Earth sign due to the scorpion’s nature to reside in hot, dry places.  It is, in fact, a water sign, and although its other two cosmic archetypes are birds, the water Scorpio embodies represents the deep emotions they experience and the deep creativity they both embody and are attracted to.  This is a sign that feels beyond what can be described by the human word.  This inability to label something so profoundly impactful yet so mysterious frustrates the cosmic scorpion, and pushes them to seek other ways to find validity for what they’re experiencing internally.  This usually results in hermitage, and distance, shrouding Scorpio in a cave of social darkness and an association to mystery.

Alternative to retreat, Scorpio energy may find itself dabbling in what may seem “woo” or taboo in hopes of finding answers or explanation.  The journeys of the magickal, mystical, and metaphysical provide unique ways to explain The Universe, energy, and the life cycle, and diving into these worlds may provide more clarity during this season than things that are technical like data and science.  If you’ve been thinking of learning something like numerology, Tarot, enneagram, astrology, etc., or you’ve been wanting to seek out a reading for more answers, Scorpio season is a powerful time to do so.

This is also a good time to for us to both take and possibly make medicine.  If you’re attracted to things like herbalism, homeopathy, aromatherapy, “kitchen witchery”, or natural and/or energetic healing in any way, now is the season to focus more on learning this craft.  You may also want to dive into practices like spell casting, scrying, pendulum use, or divination.  Scorpio season is a potent portal for you to find answers and guidance from other realms and dimensions.  Don’t be afraid to try a certain modality if you’re attracted to it, even if you don’t know anything about it

Speaking of portals, this particular Scorpio season brought a shift in Samhain.  Typically and almost always traditionally celebrated during Scorpio Season on October 31st/November 1st, this recognition of “the final harvest” occurs astrologically when the Sun is at 15 degrees Scorpio.  This year that alignment took place November 6th-8th.  It may be useful now to look back on those dates and see if anything significant comes up around the themes of life, harvest, death, recycling, transformation, rebirth, growth, and evolution.

Death is an intense topic, but tends to be one that people get more comfortable with during Scorpio Season.  This is time when we have celebrations like Halloween, Day of the Dead, All Souls’ Day, etc.  When we learn to celebrate during times of death and learn to honour our ancestors with love, it changes the way we feel about death and dying overall.  This season might be a supportive time to create an ancestral altar, or update one if it already exists in your sacred spaces.

Speaking of sacred spaces, this season might bring up more tendencies around sensuality or sexuality.  There is a taboo type of feeling associated sometimes with Scorpio energy, but the sexuality of this sign arises out of an urge to process feelings, access true love and joy, and heal bloodlines.  When we learn to embrace sex as a tool for healing and a way to tap into our ultimate bliss, it can become a medicine for both ourself and generationally.  If you feel the urge to explore the concepts of sex magick, if you need to purify your sexual relationships, or if you need to devote more time to letting go of your own personal programmed taboo around sex, now is the time to commit to those practices and intentions of healing.

There are many other types of sacred medicine that may come through this season.  You might feel the need to tap into a multitude of practices that seem to enhance your psychic abilities and support you emotionally.  Scorpio season urges you to start looking for answers in alternative ways, to get specific with the details of your intentions, and focus your energy on what it take to become the person you know you deserve to step into.  Use these next few weeks to get clear on what you want, what you need to get it, and who you need to become in the process.  The magick of Scorpio season supports transformation.  You can become whoever you are ready to step into.

LIBRA SEASON

September 23rd - October 23rd, 2023

Libra season is going strong, and due to my laptop getting left subconsciously somewhere else this past week, I've only now been able to check in!

I'm also a Libra myself and I'm selfishly deciding to take this month to take a hiatus from my usual work around the cosmos.  As much as I love writing to you about what's happening with the planets and stars, I'm also feeling the call to take a short break to realign and attune my astrological work.

For over a year I have dreamed of creating something new around my offerings, but I haven't been able to truly give myself the time to focus on what I want to bring to fruition.  What the nudge of the Aries full moon this Libra season, I'm releasing the need to report on the cosmos until I am fully ready to do it in the way I envision.  Don't worry!  Once I return from my hiatus I still plan to show up every 2 weeks to report to you just as I have been.  But for those that want to dive DEEPER with me, for those who want to move into deep ritual with me on a regular basis, I have something very magickal coming soon!

Thank you for your patience as I take this short break to go "under construction".  I am excited about what's to come!

I am also excited to celebrate my 40th birthday under the Libra New Moon & Solar Eclipse!  I have been seeing "1014" for several years now, and I know my birthday is initiating me into something exciting.  In order to full hold space for it, I'm putting other aspects of my energetic efforts on hold.  I have always pushed the message that we cannot be receiving if we are always doing.  I am taking time off from all of my creative efforts in order to be fully ready for what's coming my way.

My plan is to return during Scorpio season, when the shadow season arrives and I feel the need to dive deeper.  Until then, use this Libra season to focus on balance, harmony, equanimity, and everything that brings you more peace.

VIRGO SEASON

August 23rd - September 22nd, 2023

Virgo season has been in full swing for a week now, but it’s not the energy we usually hold this time of year.

Mercury, Virgo’s ruling planet, went retrograde the same day we shifted into the season of The Cosmic Virgin, causing us to struggle with transition and alignment.  Normally this is a season of organization, because Virgo naturally cleans up chaos. This is due to the natural way this sign works to contain Leo’s lingering fire.  There is a time and season for everything. Leo is a month to simply let go and live!  Virgo is a month to recover and get back to work.  But if you’re struggling to get in a groove this time around your are likely not alone.  Mercury retrograde itself is enough to cause turmoil in our lives, but when you add 6 other planets spinning backwards we can’t help to feel all over the place!  Stay patient!  This feeling will soon pass as planets start turning direct again.

Also be patient if you’re dealing with matters of the body.  Virgo is earth energy and deals with the earthly human body above all else.  This may show up as illness, a change in your body’s behavior, or you may receive more insight and wisdom about your health in general.  If you find yourself sick during Virgo times, it will likely air out and heal by the time we arrive into mid-Libra season. If you find yourself seeking answers, help, medicine, etc., it is likely  the guidance will show up closer to Libra season once Mercury goes direct.  Earth energy is all about being present, and this particular Virgo season really wants us to ground in!  Do your best over these next few weeks to simply be with your self and see what comes through when you take time for stillness.

Cosmic chaos aside, Virgo season is all about us getting our life back in order. Have you ever noticed how day planners and schedulers typically come out in both January and early September? It’s funny how our modern day secretly revolves around astrology without even realizing it! The reason we tend to feel a need to get back to routine this time of year is because our next season is coming. Virgo is a transitional portal that helps us to both let go of the fires of summer and invite in the winds of
Autumn. Fall is always a time of slowing down, preparing for what’s ahead, and moving into more stillness, but we can’t just change and adjust instantly. We as human beings are creatures of habit, and we have to move into different times slowly. Virgo now brings in the earth element to help us put out the fires that make us be on the go so strongly, and she helps us to bring our feet back to steady ground and our energy back into a more logical reality.

This is a time to baby step into things. Virgos are known for needing to follow instructions, and it will be easiest to shift now if you move into things methodically. If you’re trying to make a big shift in your habits or behaviors, break it down into smaller more attainable attunements until you reach your final goal.  If you’re simply trying to get more into routine or regular practice, find other small things that you can also bring into the event that will stay the same every time and make you more comfortable.  For example, if you’re trying to drink more water, get a tumbler you really gravitate to and use it over and over. If you’re trying to get better sleep or more sleep, invite in a sound machine, or comfortable sheets. Virgo energy prefers for things to stay the same, so the more predictable you can become around your life, the easier it will be to make transition into living a different way.

When it comes to change itself, be patient this Virgo season. With so many planets spinning backwards, including Mercury in Virgo, we need to be careful about how we move forward and how we make decision. The things we want to do right now may not be clear or even attainable until Mercury goes direct and we shift closer to Libra season. Regardless, we still move into earth as much as we can right now. Over the next few weeks, take time to ground, slow down, and literally pencil in the life you’re trying to design. Writing things down will be especially powerful during this season. Whatever you do, and however you navigate, get ready for what’s to come!  Start setting standards to get more organized, and work to contain and control your energy in any little way you can.

LEO SEASON

July 22nd - August 23rd, 2023

Leo season is usually full of spunk, joy, and FIRE, for me, but this year I’m feeling more “watery” than normal.

I don’t know about you, but this past Cancer season did a number on me!  I always struggle a bit with the season of the cosmic crab (my mother is a Cancer and I have MAJOR mama trauma!), but this year brought on more emotional turmoil than normal.

I’m a little late on writing about the season of the passionate Cosmic Lion.  I’m a Leo Rising, and in typical Leo fashion I’ve been slightly selfish this summer.  Before I dive into the astrology of things, I wanted to take a moment to tell you what’s been going on with me.

ICYMI, I’ve spent the past 7 months dealing with cyclical swelling of my eyelids, sinuses, and face.  It start on warm windy days in January, got REALLY bad in the springtime, has only really subsided when I’ve left the area I currently live (Southeast Iowa).  Through process of elimination, lots of meditation, and plenty of solitary confinement, I’ve started to realize it’s an air quality situation in the midwest around particulates.  While I probably will never know what these “particulates” are that trigger my systems to freak out, I do know I cannot go out side even for seconds when the AQI is measuring above 45 with pm2.5.  It’s all been quite the journey for more, and with so much isolation, I’ve been dealing with mild depression.  I let go of hosting virtual moon circles under the last moon-the Capricorn moon, and I’ve been doing everything I can to eliminate stress and bring more joy in.  I took this weekend to myself to travel to Dallas and take a Vedic Thai Bodywork training and now that I’ve had some adequate sunshine, socialization, a d fresh air, I’m feeling more like myself again.

I say all that to say, thank you for your patience as I’ve had to set deadlines on my business aside in order to focus on my health.  While I absolutely love writing to you about the moon, the stars, and more, I simply haven’t had much space or mental well-being to focus on the work.  For those that understand I’ll “get to it when I get to it,” I appreciate you.

Ok, let’s talk about Leo Season!

First, the generics:
Leo is the sign of The Cosmic Lion and fixed fire.  His time peaks during the most amplified part of summer and he is ruled by the sun.  This amplification of solar energy leads to a lot of heat-and this can be expressed through passion, excitement, or other forms of heightened fiery emotion.  Most of the emotions of Leo season are positive and playful, and it’s usually a great time to put yourself out there.

It’s an ideal time to claim the spotlight, because Leo is a natural entertainer.  You may find yourself stepping out of your comfort zone this season as you feel more confident in promoting yourself.  Lions typically symbolize courage, so embrace your bravery right now!  If you’ve been wanting to make a move on your business, pursuit a new way of influencing the public, or just want to express yourself more, now is the time to do it!

This is also a season to reclaim your power.  Leo energy rules its life on its own terms, and it has no problem being the alpha lion!  This is not a season to give away control or let others make choices for you.  This is a season of stepping into your sovereign self and making the decisions that YOU want outright.

Leo can be an assertive energy.  I’ll be honest, it’s not for everyone—especially the introverts!  I like to call Leo the “Life of the Cosmic Party”.  All of that elemental fire fixed to burn creates a need to party til the sun comes up, take a nap, and party again!  Of course, this doesn’t have to mean in the literal sense, but don’t be surprised if a Leo has you up at night!  Remember, lions hunt in the dark!  If you feel restless over the next few weeks or have trouble sleeping, you can blame it on the cosmos!

Now, when we get to the specifics, this particular Leo season may seem more taxing than normal.  Just a few days before Leo season, we experienced a new supermoon in Cancer.  New moons set the tone for the entire lunar cycle, meaning the energy of the emotional, watery crab has carried over into our Leo season this year.  In fact, it’s likely we won’t really feel that same fiery energy of Leo season until we’re more into the first of August and past the Aquarian full moon.  Luckily, our Leo New moon is also a supermoon, and it will arrive a week before Virgo season, helping us to catch up on the energy we may have felt we missed out on.  Don’t be surprised if we experience a HOT August and September this year!  I have a feeling all of that fire we’ve been missing we’ll burn a lot longer than we may even want it to!

In addition to the Cancerian influence (which is ruled by Leo’s opposite-the moon-by the way!), we’re also navigating retrograde season.  Venus went retrograde and into her descent at the exact same time we shifted into Leo season this year, and Chiron goes retrograde on the last day of July.  We’re also still experiencing Pluto, Saturn, and Neptune all spinning backwards, slowing our energy down more than normal this summer.  If you’ve felt stagnant, unmotivated, confused, or simply left in limbo, you are not alone!  There are many others going through the same thing thanks to our galactic neighbors!  Retrogrades impact us, because sometimes we need to be forced to slow down or take a different perspective.  If things don’t go as you expected this Leo season, or if your summer vibes aren’t the usual, become mindful and ask way.  Anytime we’re put on pause it’s for a reason.  See where you are being cosmically guided to pay attention.

Halfway through this Leo season we’ll experience a Full Supermoon in Aquarius on August 1st.  Now that we’re in the “Age of Aquarius” this energy will be amplified anytime the sign’s influence is brought to attention.  A Full Moon in Aquarius could entice you to “get weird”.  I like to call Aquarius the “alien of the zodiac”.  They are one of the most unique signs you will every meet—so unique, the seem like they’re from another planet!  This is why our energy may shift once we move into our second month of Leo season.  Aquarian energy will likely motivate us to shake things off, look at things a different way, or do something different without much attachment to what we leave behind.  Although Aquarius is opposite Leo on the zodiac wheel, a bit of that selfishness traverses throughout both signs.

Remember, everything has a balance.  Cancer season was all about nurturing and prioritizing others.  Leo season is about prioritizing self.  This next few weeks are about finding your inner alpha, finding your courage to stay in control, and finding the bravery to be yourself and express without limitation.  Use this season to fire yourself up and amplify your momentum!  The effort and energy you put into things now will likely carry over into Virgo season (the most selfish of the zodiac signs), too!  Do your best not to let the waters of that Cancer New Moon drag you down to the depths!  This Leo season, do your best to spark your fire wherever you can ignite it, and stay positive to keep fanning the flames.

CANCER SEASON

June 21st - July 22nd, 2023

Cancer energy is all about the “home,” and, ironically, I’ve been mostly stuck in my home over the past 2 weeks!

It’s also why I’m just now taking the time to write about Cancer season.  The fire smoke here in the Midwest has been causing me to have eyelid and facial swelling just like I had a few months ago, and I’m only now after many days of isolation starting to feel more normal and back to a state of energy to “work” again.

…I call it “work,” because what I do never seems like a daunting task!  I absolutely LOVE writing to you about the cosmos, and it’s been eating at me to not be able to sit down and write about Cancer season more toward the beginning of it.  However, I also have to take care of myself and heal in order to show up to you clear-minded and fully about to channel what you need to receive.

The sign of Cancer is sometimes known as The Cosmic Mother or Cosmic Parent.  It is more of a nurturing, motherly energy overall, and I’ve been fully embracing this aspect of Cancer by “mothering” myself.  I definitely have files in the “mama trauma” department, and I do not have a relationship with my own mother nor have I for over 25 years even though she still lives.  By the way, my mother IS a Cancer!  I am also a mother myself who works hard to never spill that trauma over onto my son or the way I parent.  And to be honest this forced isolation at home for so long has started to get to me, especially because I LOVE the sunshine and being outside in the summertime (Leo Rising here!).  I have had to work hard to nurture, care for, and mother myself in order to show up as the mother I want to be for my son.  I’ve also had to work through some additional mother wounds in the process.  Cancer season always seems to be a time I have to work through things, so thank you for understanding as I’ve lengthened my absences from the public and increased my time with self to recover.

If you’ve also been going through challenging times—physically, mentally, or emotionally—it may also be time for you to slow down, focus on more self-care, and seek out ways to mother yourself, too.  Maybe it’s not you who is unstable—maybe it’s your business, your family dynamic, your relationship or friendships—if you have anything in your life that seems imbalanced, now is the time to tend to it.  Perhaps you have to use the full moon of Capricorn on July 3rd to release something or someone holding you back.  Or you use the New Moon in Cancer on July 17th to set intentions around healing or more regular self-care.  You could also use the influence of Sagittarius with the full moon portal to illuminate your strengths and accomplishments rather than your traumas and failures.  Emotional alchemy will be at the forefront this Cancer season, so do what you need to in order to tend to your emotional wounds and heal into the thick-skinned armour you’ll need to get through this retrograde season and then the upcoming eclipse and “shadow” season.  This is one of the most amplified times of the year we have.  Solar energy is at an all time high, and it’s the perfect time to absorb those light frequencies, charge yourself up, and raise your vibration!.  Cancer season always brings up our deep locked-down stuff in order to address it and grow stronger.  Think of it like the crab molting its shell or outgrowing it and moving into a new one.

Speaking of crab, this is thee most known archetype of Cancer energy.  This is a water sign, which is where the emotional focus comes from, and the other shell of the crab with the “mush” inside represents the way Cancer energy tends to bottle things up.  There’s also a tendency for crabs to dig themselves into the sand or focus on their shell of a home.  This is relatable to the way Cancer energy energies being at home and making their spaces feel home-like and comfortable.

Other archetypes of Cancer include the child and the womb.  If you’ve been highly emotionally like a hormone-drive adolescent, or wanting to throw a tantrum like a child, you are wimpy aligning with the energy of the cosmic season.  You may also embody independent streaks over these few weeks, because Cancer season wants to do things on their own much like both a parent and a child.  You may also not want to ask for help right now when you truly need it.  Learning to humble your ego and seek out assistance may help with your burdens and lighten your load.  Perhaps do something different and give it a try!

When it comes to the womb, this is a season that focuses on both the physical womb and the energetic womb.  Our sacral chakra, or second energy center Svadisthana, is where our emotional processing occurs.  This is why our memories, traumas, and feelings are heightened during this season.  Both the physical womb for women and the energetic womb for all are responsible for creating whatever we want to grow and “birth” into this world.  This is also why you may become inspired this time to do something different, try something new, pick up efforts on an old pursuit or project, or start to embrace new way of creating your own image.  Our womb-space is about harboring what WE want and enjoy.  Use this Cancer season to nurture more of what brings you joy and passion in this life, so you can begin to create an entire life full of what ignites you.

GEMINI SEASON

May 21st - June 21st, 2023

It’s funny—I mentioned in my Taurus channeling how I’ve been selfishly taking more time for myself, and I feel like Gemini season is no different!

With the New Moon in Taurus occurring one day before Gemini season and setting the tone for almost the entire Gemini season, I’m not surprised I’ve continued to stick to myself and “my pasture’ more than anything else!

Personally, I’ve been taking time to HEAL.  I’ve been spending a lot of time in silence, stillness, meditation, and contemplation, and although I ride the Taurus bull’s tail into this season, I know my urge to reflect is definitely a Gemini quality.  As the sign of The Cosmic Mirror begins to rule me more, I finally feel the urge to write to you about this season.

Gemini is most widely known as the sign of The Cosmic Twins.  This is a season of reflection and seeing ourself in others.  It’s also a season to focus more on ourself as we prepare for the more intense energy of solar-ruled summer.  There’s a lot of emotion to come with our next season of Cancer, and A LOT of fiery energy will blaze in the next-next season with Leo.  Gemini is the last season of spring.  It’s time to shed the last of winter’s thaw and start growing in the direction that WE need to go.

Gemini energy is known to be social.  Part of this comes from the angst we feel to get out of our winter hermit stage and into the light!  As more people come out into nature and spend time outdoors, we can’t help but run into people we know.  The breaths of fresh air we crave are associated with Gemini season, since this is an air sign.  If you’re feeling the desire to get outdoors over the next few weeks, lean into the call.  Just do your best to manage your energy if you start to come into contact with a lot of other people as you explore the outdoors.

Part of that air energy is related to sound or word.  Geminis tend to gossip, and the “catching up” you do with others over the next few weeks could lead to a lower vibration conversation.  Try to reflect this scenario back onto yourself.  Would you want someone else talking about you right now?  Probably not!  If you find yourself talking about other people this Gemini season slow down, redirect, and shift the topic.

This is a good time to focus on yourself more than anything else.  Gemini energy is known to both reflect and deflect—meaning they sometimes look at others’ problems rather than looking at themself.  This is not necessarily a negative quality—we need people to pay attention to others and care about others enough to give their energy to them!  Just be careful, no matter what you sign you are, not to give too much of your energy to the external right now.  Take note if you find yourself spending unnecessarily energy on others or their lives.  Also take notice if someone else has a behavior or displays an action that triggers you.  If you find someone as an example of this, ask yourself if you have the same behavior within you that you’re simply upset with?  It’s not always easy to “take a hard look” at ourselves in the metaphorical mirror, but when we start to become aware of our shadow side we also learn to accept and love it over time.  Nobody is perfect on this planet!  No one!  If you find yourself in judgement of others or in a state of desire to spend a lot of time on someone else, slow down and start spending time in isolation, silence, and reflection instead!

The ability to think on things will be more accessible this season.  If you struggle to meditate, contemplate, study, or simply sit in your thoughts, memories, knowledge, or wisdom, it might be easier over the next few weeks.  The air element is associated with the thinking mind, and part of the reason Gemini energy spends so much time contemplating others is because they like to think about things.  They are also known to enjoy sorting data and number crunching.  This is why it’s easier to sort your “brain wires” or calm your thoughts right now.  Gemini helps you organize everything in that powerful brain of yours!

The opposite of Gemini is Sagittarius, and on June 3rd we will experience a full “strawberry” moon in Sagittarius.  This is the sign of the fiery traveler, hunter/huntress, and explorer, and we may find it easier to focus on things, places, or other topics rather than people the closer we get to that lunar illumination.  Sagittarius is a sign that’s generally positive and supportive, and they don’t stand for the gossip or talking-down of others.  If you’ve been struggling recently to keep quiet when it comes to talking about others, it may be easier to shut things down or release that bad habit with the full moon.

I will write more about the Strawberry Moon as we get closer, but know that both the full moon in Sagittarius and a shift of Venus into Leo occur within less than 36 hours of one another.  With this shift we’ll be a lot more focused and self and what we really want in life.  Remember, the theme of this month is to go where WE need to go and do what WE want to do.  Gemini season spends a lot of time reflecting onto others, and with that comes the absorption of others’ reflections onto them.  It can be easy to get complacent with our self-awareness and self-care.  We spend more time than ever looking at an external world.  With that comes an imprinting to look, dress, work, and DO a certain way.  During this season, ask yourself if your behaviors, expressions, and desires are of yourself or are they of others.  If you find yourself becoming a mirror to everyone around you, give yourself permission to get back to a focus on yourself.  When you become the mirror of Gemini, you could be a giant reflective wall or a handheld compact.  You decide how much reflects back for you to see!

Venus in Leo is preparation for Leo season.  The sign of The Cosmic Lion urges us to focus on ourself, maybe sometimes a little too much.  However, when Venus is in Leo and the Sun is in Gemini, we feel more of a balance between the more and the we.  We also feel an urge to truly look at ourselves and our lives and ask ourselves if we’re content with what we see?  As the saying goes, “You are not a tree!  You can plant new roots wherever you like!”  Over the next few weeks use the thinking mind of Gemini season and the prioritizing side of Venus in Leo to contemplate your life, your career, your hobbies, your habits, and more.  If you find yourself not wanting to focus on a certain aspect of your life, it needs more attention than ever.  Use these next few weeks to make a commitment to yourself, so you feel more whole in your journey into the future.

Wholeness, or feeling “complete,” is something Gemini energy struggles with.  Having the archetype of “The Twins,” their energy is already divided!  Mix in the element of air which has no bounds and a Gemini will have no limits!  If you’ve ever met a Gemini, they are probably multi-faceted in some way!  They’re a jack of all trades that can do it all or at least try to, because they like to figure out the challenge and learn it all along the way!  This may be a time when you feel pulled into many directions, no matter what sign you are.  Try to find one or a very limited number of niches to focus on right now.  The more you open yourself up to possibility, the more likely you’ll scatter yourself too thin!

This is a good time to ground above all else.  We are moving into retrograde season, and we already entered Gemini season with both a Pluto retrograde and a post-shadow face of Mercury retro.  On June 11th, Mercury—Gemini’s ruling planet—will move into Gemini and make both communication and the use of tech a more peaceful experience.  However, Pluto retrograde also enters Capricorn on June 11th, bringing power struggles to an all-time high.  Remember that pull of energy between you and other I mentioned?  It might especially become challenging during this time.  If you go through some sort of challenge, it’s best to “Let go and Let God” as they say.  Saturn, the Planet of Karma and Life Lessons, turns retrograde on June 17th just on the end of Gemini season.  This is a time when we start to experience both breakdowns and breakthroughs.  The more you allow yourself to reflect rather than deflect, the easier that initiation into Saturn retrograde will be!

We will also likely feel the influence of Gemini season overlap into Cancer season this year.  The New Moon in Gemini is June 18th, inviting us to continue to remain in a state of reflection over the moon’s next journey.  When you mix this with the waters of Cancer season starting, June 21st, we are likely to experience a lot of time thinking, sorting, and processing our emotions.  With Saturn spinning backwards during this time, I have no doubt we’re going to get some of those hard knock life lessons that we need to sit and think on!  Pay attention to what happens to you over the next few weeks.  Ask yourself what you’re seeing clearly and what you aren’t.  Give The Universe permission to reveal to you what you need to learn during this time.  Embrace that air element and open yourself up to the possibility of wisdom to be gained and life to be expanded.  When you open yourself up to all that is available, you never know how far you’ll grow!

TAURUS SEASON

April 20th - May 21st, 2023

The season of The Cosmic Bull is about grounding into life, and this Taurus season I’ve been selfishly taking time to focus on myself rather than guiding the external.

Some of this has been forced, and other parts of it have been voluntary.  Any time we navigate an Earth sign we tend to experience more of our physical and emotional human body, especially the discomforts and imbalances.  In Ayurveda, the season of spring is associated with Kapha, or the mucky, muddy, mucous element of this earthly world.  In true alignment with nature, I’ve been experiencing some of the worst allergies of my life.  I’ve spent the majority of Taurus season with eyelids and eyes swollen shut, face oozing and peeling, and arms/hands rashing, welting, and peeling.  It’s been a journey, to say the least, but it has also forced me to have more down time than normal and spend more time in meditation, reflection, and contemplation.

Taurus energy likes to spend time alone.  Think of the lone bull, napping in the pasture under the sun.  Taurus people tend to be very protective of their energy, and this Taurus season you may have found yourself doing the same.  You may have also spent more time napping, resting, sleeping, or in meditation.  You also may have found yourself contemplating things more than normal.  All of this was likely done in more isolation.  With so much blooming, growing, and blossoming around us, and with so much transformation happening as we shift from winter to spring to summer, (and through an eclipse season this time with bull energy) Taurus is a season that may require isolation and stillness to balance out the waves, especially if you are more sensitive or empathetic than others.

Another reason for alone time is damage control.  Although the bull is usually docile, when antagonized they will charge at you!  Taurus energy tends to deal with anger, rage, frustration, and other fiery emotions above all else.  If you’ve felt yourself extra heated over the past few weeks, it’s not out of the normal.  All of this fire is symbolic of the rising solar energy and increasing heat of the world.  Spring is a time to prepare us for summer, and Taurus season brings out our inner heat to help acclimate us to the energy.  It’s kind of like how drinking a warm beverage on a hot day actually helps to regulate your temperature.  All of these heated emotions are simply warming us up from the inside to better align with what’s ahead!

We’re also using this fire to burn away what no longer serves.  One thing’s for sure about Taurus energy—it knows what it wants and who it wants to be around!  Taurus season is typically a time of planting in most of the world.  As we prepare the soil for what we want to grow, we must first tend to the weeds and get rid of dirt that’s dry, stagnant, and no longer of use.  If you’ve been feeling the need to cut chords or set boundaries the past few weeks, you are working to support your dreams and the energy required to tend to them as they blossom and fruit.  Taurus is a season of letting go of winter and welcoming summer.  Work your best to grieve your losses if you must, but then use the influence of this season to move into the excitement of what could move into the space you have opened.

Taurus season is about earthly, material goods.  In particular, they lean toward expensive, luxurious things like lavish vacations, nice cars/boats/motorcycles, expensive and expansive homes, name brand fashion, etc.  Taurus energy is also related to money in general.  If you’ve been struggling financially or dealing with mental money blocks, these past few weeks may have shifted your mindset.  You may also have naturally attracted opportunities to yourself out of your positive attitude or boundary setting.

You may also have experienced major transition over this past Taurus season.  Halfway through we experienced a full eclipsed moon in Scorpio, bringing in the energies of cleansing water and a craving for transformation.  I, myself, embraced full scorpion energy as I literally “molted” and peeled all of my skin in the places I rashed, welted, and swelled from my allergies.  I also used the Scorpio full moon to make decisions like deleting my Veena Lenae Facebook page for good and deciding to live in a different location part-time of the year.  I even lashed out at some people I know like the Scorpion does when it feels cornered, and I’m sure the relationships I’ve responded to in this way are now transformed, too.  I trust the journey regardless, because I know the change is always for my greater good.  Either way, if you’ve been experiencing something of the sort too—a lashing out or “stinging back,”—you may have also experienced the eclipsed full Scorpio moon in all of its magick, glory, and empowerment!

Speaking of power, Pluto, The Planet of Power, Control, and The Underworld, went retrograde during this Taurus season on May 1st.  This means you may have experienced a shift in power dynamics in your life or your business or you may have felt like your power was taken away over the past few weeks.  You may have also felt like your life was spinning out of control, and I certainly can say with the unexplained allergic reactions I had to wave the white flag in surrender!  There were many times I had to give away my power during this Taurus season and the shift was needed different reasons in different times.

I also had to surrender when it came to technology, communication, and travel, and you may have had to do the same.  This Taurus season we experienced a Mercury retrograde in Taurus from April 21st through May 14th.  During this time, you may have had particular trouble with your material forms of communication like phone and computers, or you may have had issues around communication and messages not being received or heard properly.  Even more so, with Taurus influencing this retrograde you may have broken your technology in a fit of rage or leaned into physical fighting or a heated verbal conflict with someone.  If traveling, you may have had a hiccup with your vacation plans, had an excursion cancelled, or simply found yourself not fully satisfied with your experience.  All of these things happen for positive reasons.  We are being pushed to surrender into more stillness and gratitude.  Even in the most catastrophic moments we can still find gratitude for our breath.  If you’ve been in an unappreciative mood lately or felt yourself let down of your expectations, take time to slow down and find what you ARE grateful for rather than what you’re missing.

By the time we wrap up this season with the New Moon in Taurus on May 19th, we should start to feel more grounded in our attitude of gratitude and more appreciative of what we have and what we’ve gained.  We should also feel more aligned in our energy since this new moon occurs just 2 days before we shift into the balanced sign of Gemini.  Use the black moon and new moon portal to find ways to enjoy the pleasures of life rather than dwell on letdowns or losses.  Taurus is ruled by Venus and guides you into the realms of enjoyment and self-care!  They also enjoy things like food, sleep, and sex.  You could wrap up the season by indulging in a deliciously layered meal ranging from appetizers to desserts, make sure to sleep bank and get plenty of rest, or enjoy some sexy time with a partner or yourself!  Whatever you do, make sure you use the Taurus new moon portal to make yourself feel more complete and whole so you don’t find yourself in judgement and comparison with the upcoming Gemini season.  Remember, wherever intention goes, energy flows!  Make sure your frequencies are tuned into abundance, support, contentment, and pleasure.

ARIES SEASON

March 20th - April 20th, 2023

The season of Aries is HERE, and it’s both coming in and going out with a BANG this year!

We always start Aries season with Vernal Equinox, or the first day of Spring.  Astrology is based in nature and the pattern of the sunlight.  We move from the cold, deep, dark, watery depths of winter’s end in Pisces and welcome in the warmth, light, growth, momentum, and FIRE of spring and Aries!  With that we move into Cardinal Fire energy, meaning we are both the fire starter and the flame.  Spring is a time of initiation.  It brings us into a new light and a new energy to cultivate what we’re ready to now grow.  Pisces season was a time of dreaming.  Aries is a season of bringing the dream into reality.  It may not come to fruition until later this year, but we start with the first day of spring and Aries season by taking the first steps towards our next evolution.

In Western astrology, Aries is the first sign of the zodiac.  In eastern, or Vedic astrology, this is a time when we welcome in a new year.  It doesn’t always align in this way, but 2023 brings us a New Moon in Aries less than 24 hours after we step into Aries season.  When we arrive into the New Moon in Aries, we experience a moon in the Pisces constellation from the eastern perspective.  This means we still embody the creative flow of water energy, but now we use it to hydrate the seeds we are planting.  Whatever you set intentions around under the new moon won’t necessarily be grounded for good (see more below about the next new moon), so make sure you only water and tend to what you want to take root and really grow.

Spring is always a season of fertility in nature, but it’s especially potent for conception this year.  Venus moved into its ruling sign of Taurus just a few days before Vernal Equinox, enhancing creative flow and a need for us to really “beautify” our life.  Add in the full moon in Libra on April 5th, and we can’t help but want to color our lives!  These next four weeks may inspire you to clean up or decorate your home or work spaces, to change your image or outer appearance, or you may simply feel a need for a makeover or upgrade in any aspect of your life.

When Venus moves into Gemini on April 10th, you may feel inspired to beautify your words, your self-talk, your digital spaces, or something else around communication.  You may also still want to reinvent your image, because Gemini energy is related to expression.  Pay extra attention to how you talk to yourself or judge yourself.  Try to beautify this aspect above all else.  Spring is a season of seeing the potential.  Moist things are still thawing, melting, and budding.  Many plants, trees, and flowers will hold pollen and the beginnings of their growth before they hit full bloom.  We have to trust in what’s ahead as we continue to move toward the light.  With the full moon in Libra April 5th and the shift of Venus into Gemini April 10th, use the middle of Aries season to shower yourself with positivity, love, acceptance, and faith in what you can become.

If things don’t quite play out the way you expect over the next few weeks, or if you struggle to shift and change toward the direction of your dreams, you’ll get a second chance towards the end of Aries season.  On April 19th, we’ll experience a rare second New Moon in Aries just a few hours before we shift into Taurus season.  This is called a Black Moon, and it gives us an opportunity to really turn within, reflect, tune in, and attune appropriately.  The black moon will also auspiciously bring a Total Solar Eclipse, inviting us to decide our fate and rewrite our karma.  If you find things repeating themselves, coming back around again, finding yourself at a crossroads, or have people from your past show up, pay extra attention.  The Universe is giving you a chance to stay in the same story, or rewrite your script.

Overall, Aries is a season of both the spark and the fire.  It’s time to take responsibility for your life and take action on what kind of life you want to live.  Don’t be surprised if you feel inspired this season with new ideas or have old ideas come back around with the eclipse.  They’re showing back up for a reason!  Also pay attention to your energy.  You might feel more charged than normal, but Cardinal Fire tends to also burn itself out.  The opposition of Aries is Libra.  When you arrive at the Libra moon this season, slow down and check in with your equilibrium.  Do you feel peaceful, or do you need to make adjustments to reset your scales?  Just as winter moves into spring and shadow moves into light, you will also need to find the balance between work and rest to keep cycling and going.

PISCES SEASON

February 18th - March 20th, 2023

Pisces Season is officially here, and it’s time to embrace our feelings, our future, and our energetic flux and flow.

Pisces is a water element, sometimes depicted as two fish, one swimming up and one swimming down in a looping circle.  Water energy represents time itself, and the flow of past into present into future.  Pisces energy encourages us to “go with the flow,” because we may go through ups and downs as we journey through this life.  It’s all a part of the balance we need to eventually, over time “level out”.  Trust the journey you are on.

Pisces Season occurs in between winter and spring.  Even in nature we experience ups and downs, as this tends to be a time when we get teased with days that feel like spring while suddenly getting blasted back into the reality of winter just a few days (or even a day) later.  There’s a bit of a push and pull with nature’s energy, and it’s hard to tell who will win.  We never can know for sure!  Instead of controlling the weather, we simply ride it out.  When we go through our own emotional tug-of-war, Pisces encourages us to mimic its patterns.  Try to flow through it all with as much grace and ease as possible.  Eventually, the sun will come out fully and your life will light up again.

Pisces Season also occurs during “SAD” season, or a time of Seasonal Affective Disorder.  It’s a time when we’re on the end of winter and still confined inside.  After having less social interaction or sunlight for months, the effects start to show.  This is also a time when many people start to receive their holiday shopping credit card statements, or simply start to feel the aftermath of their holiday spending on their budget.  Combine that past stress with the loathing future of needing to do your taxes, and things can really take a toll on your financial energy.  In the energetic world, money is related to your water element, because of the way it flows from one place to another.  With Pisces being a water sign, these experiences are now enhanced more than before.

You might have other emotionally-driven thoughts and experiences during this season, because Pisces energy is incredibly sensitive.  Although usually depicted as The Cosmic Fish, they can also be related to the entire Cosmic Ocean!  Think of the ocean itself, and how mysterious its depths still are, after all of these years of exploration.  Pisces energy FEELS deeply, and many times they even experience emotions beyond words.  A lot of the time they’ll end up bottling this energy due to the lack of understanding or ability to describe.  Be careful if you do this, because, eventually, all of that water will come gushing back out!  Try channeling the energy instead.  Another aspect of Pisces energy includes creativity.  Sometimes the feelings they go through can’t be described with word, but can be projected through artistic expression.  If you enjoy art in any way, utilize it right now for emotional processing.  It doesn’t matter if you’re “good” at it or not.  The Zen focus is the intention.  The more present you become, the more you may notice your creativity expresses your emotion and helps you process it through.

Other forms of Pisces creativity can include poetry, music, dance, photography, pottery, and simply playing with different mediums like pencil and/or paint on paper and/or canvas.  With that expansive oceanic energy, the options and possibilities are endless.  Remember, there are many parts of the ocean and many species in it that haven’t been discovered yet.  If you’re feeling the need to “reinvent the wheel” when it comes to creating, go toward whatever inspires you!

This is a season of moving forward toward any inspirations or aspirations that you’ve been thinking on.  Pisces is sometimes known as The Cosmic Dreamer, and this is a time to start really focusing on what you want to create in your next year.  Pisces Season occurs one month after Lunar New Year, and after taking all of this time to cleanse and heal and purify and prepare it’s now time to get down to the details on what we want in our reality.  We can utilize all of that creative watery energy to develop micro-details on the future experience we want, and really put it into a sensory objective.

Regardless of the dream, there will be blockages.  Every sign has a shadow, and one of Pisces is the inability to put all of those dreams into action.  They have an incredible ability to IMAGINE everything they desire, and they even believe it can become true, but they struggle to actually TAKE THE STEPS toward making the dreams happen.  You probably won’t be truly motivated to go hard on your dreams until the upcoming Aries season, but these next 4 weeks just before give you the opportunity to start germinating your spiritual seeds and taking baby steps of action toward what you want to grow in this year’s “garden”.  Remember that taking action means in all aspects.  You need to do emotional work as much as physical when it comes to obtaining something you haven’t gained before.

This particular Pisces Season brings partnership with Venus.  The planet of the feminine moved into the sign of the fish on January 26th, and will remain here until February 20th.  This encourages a “beautification’ of our dreams, helping us to find more joy and pleasure in what we want to create in our future.  Also, for a brief moment on the 20th, both the new moon and Venus will align in Pisces Season fueling even more of a Venutian vibe.  After having meditated on the details of our dreams, we may start to feel energetically nudged around the new moon to start beautifying our external spaces.  Make sure your home, work spaces, bathrooms (beauty spaces), relaxation spaces, and more are clean, decorated, and set up to be sacred enough to hold space for you and whatever you are creating.

By the time we reach the mid-point of Pisces season, we should feel ready to plan and prepare even more.  The Full Moon in Virgo will rise on March 7th, encouraging us to get real about what we want by putting it on the calendar.  Again, we don’t have to take big steps or a lot or them, but we still need to prepare and actually set a deadline to push ourselves forward.  Under the light of the Virgo Moon, take time to not only finalize the details of your dreams, but start actually scheduling the steps to get there into your current reality.

Remember, the water energy of Pisces represents the flow of time.  Time itself is relative, and we can design how we let it rule our life.  We can dream on things and never take action, constantly stuck in the what if’s and the could be’s, or we can both dream in the present AND step forward into the future.  We can also meditate and think and dwell on memories in the past, allowing them to affect our emotions, or we can alchemize the feeling, rise up and out of it, and find a way to let our past push us into a better future.  The key is to embrace the present and how we can utilize it for our highest good.  This Pisces season let yourself be more open to the flow of whatever comes, while trusting and slowly swimming toward whatever you are ready to invite in.  These next four weeks can bring potent probability, if you implement the right energy!

AQUARIUS SEASON

January 20 - February 18, 2023

Aquarius season is in full swing, and it’s time to embrace the ideals of expansion!

We have officially moved from the sign of the earth-based “Sea Goat” Capricorn and into the time of The Cosmic Water-Bearer.  Typically mistaken for a water sign, this is actually a sign ruled by air, and it’s time to open our minds, hearts, and faith beyond what we can currently imagine.  The water Aquarius shares is actually knowledge, experience, reflections, and insight or wisdom she feels the need to “pour onto others”.  Water is life-sustaining.  So is knowledge or wisdom gained after circumstance.  But we must be open-minded enough to receive new ideas and new ways of thinking or approaching life.  This is the energy Aquarius season now brings.

I like to call Aquarius the “Alien of the Zodiac,” because their energy is outer-worldly.  This sign likes to think outside the box, turn things upside down, and view things from a different perspective.  This can sometimes make them seem “different” or “weird,” but the energy tends to be refreshing once it’s accepted.  Whether you’re an Aquarius or not, these next 4 weeks are a great time to do things differently, shift perspectives/directions, or embrace new possibilities.

Just be careful not to be TOO airy!  If you’ve ever met an Aquarius, you’ve likely seem them change direction or interest at the drop of a hat, and they have no problem embracing something they’ve never done before with such confidence, you’d never know!  If you feel the need to shift this season, try to stick with it for awhile.  At a minimum, stick with things until the full moon in Aquarius on August 1st.  If you need to redirect, that will be the easiest time.  Many experiences will seem shiny and opportune right now, and air signs struggle to make decision.  If anything, go where your heart’s energy is most fulfilled, as the air element is related to heart chakra.

Speaking of heart energy, Aquarius energy is also known to embrace philanthropy.  The holiday season may be over, but there is always a need for charity—usually more so in January and February!  Money isn’t the only way to give to a cause.  Your time, energy, and material goods can also help others in need.  Use these next few weeks to find ways to embrace “Seva” or service wherever you feel called, and wherever you can!

Just one day into Aquarius season, we will experience a Supermoon in the same sign.  On the afternoon of January 21st, the moon will officially begin it’s new lunar cycle, and usher in the beginning of a new lunar year.  This is also known as “Chinese New Year,” and is sometimes celebrated as the true “New Year” instead of January 1st.  I, too, personally consider Lunar New Year a time of more alignment to shift habits, work toward new goals, and redefine what I’m trying to manifest.  If you’re into dream journaling or making vision boards, the New Supermoon portal will be a potent portal for you to get clear on what you really desire.

Two days into Aquarius season, on January 23rd, we also have our final retrograde planet, Uranus, moving direct in Taurus.  This means the planet of innovation, revolution, and rebellion is moving into the earth-fueled sign of the bull, bringing a more direct energy around money and trade, sustainability, ecology, and anything else “human-related”.  Combine this energy with the sign of Aquarius and we may see new ways of spending “money,” finding new ways to personally barter services, or owe may become more concerned about the environment.  Aquarius energy wants to improve the human experience and make it as cohesive as possible.  This season will be about move toward community and collaboration with the shared intent to preserve our planet.

With all planets direct at the beginning of this season, now is the time to move our energy toward all things that embrace progression.  This means coming together with one another to improve the entire human experience, but also finding new ways to enhance our own day-to-day.  Did you try to set New Year’s resolutions to improve you life, but you’ve now fallen off-track?  Aquarius season arrives the third week of January to help you and 80% of others start over and begin again!  Even better, this season invites you to start working toward your dreams with the 4 week lunar cycles, rather than just working on your dreams once or twice a year.  Embrace this new chance to “do something different” as an Aquarius would advise you to do!  The more you embrace open-mindedness, the more potential you have to step into a life you could have never imagined!

This potential to expand or your ability to meditate on it may be challenging the first few days of this season.  Saturn is shifting from Karma-ruled Capricorn into Aquarius and will meet closely with Venus, forming a “Graha Yuddha” or “planetary war.”  You may find yourself struggling to make decisions around buying expensive material things, spending money on yourself, or changing up decor or image in any way.  Saturn makes you consider the implications of the change, while Venus says “you’re worth it”.  Try to let yourself move into more of a Venutian mindset, and the energy will carry over into the rest of the season once Saturn and Venus separate.  Aquarius energy is all about going after whatever we desire!  If you have a limited mindset holding you back, try to shed it with the New Moon in Aquarius on that third weekend of January.

Speaking of Venus, she will remain in Aquarius until January 26th.  She then shifts into Pisces, the sign of The Cosmic Artist, Expressive, and Dreamer, and we will continue to fill the need to beautify our life and our energy.  Use this Aquarius season to embrace air and “breathe out” whatever may be holding you back from a more beautiful, joyful life.  When Venus moves into Pisces, we are also more in tune with how we feel.  Just as Aquarius energy shares story in hopes of inspiring change for the good, we can all reflect on our own stories right now to fuel personal progression.  These next few weeks will be about both letting go and moving forward, and clearing away old mindsets/programming to rewire for what’s upcoming and new.  Detach as much as you can over the next few weeks so you are as open as possible.  You never know what could come your way if you just make yourself ready to receive!

CAPRICORN SEASON

December 21, 2022 - January 20, 2023

Capricorn season arrives with Winter Solstice and guides us to rest with this longest night of the year.  Taking time for ourselves under this seasonal shift will better help us prepare and ground into the future work we need to do.

We live by rhythms of light and dark. Our body naturally rests and rises with the sun, and Capricorn season arrives on the most drawn out night of the year to help us embrace the darkness. Add in the new moon arriving just two days into Capricorn season, and we may feel lower than we usually do around the holiday season. Instead of fighting gravity, let it take you over as you sink into more stillness, rest, and reflection.  As the moon moves into its waxing crescent phase shortly after the holiday weekend, you will also feel more energized and ignited with excitement for your future. The last week of the year is always a time when we think about what we want to come. Make sure you’re fully prepared to set goals that align with your true spirit and nature. Use the beginning of this Capricorn season to really ground into the vision you have for your future self, and let earth’s gravity pull you into that new reality.

Evolving isn’t easy.  Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, the Planet of Karma and Life Lesson.  Add in the archetype of the cosmic mermaid/merman  or “Sea-Goat” with this sign, and we may found ourselves navigating muddy energy this time of year.  If you’re feeling stuck this season, try to ether move toward water or dry land.  Much like the ship trapped inside, Capricorns are known to bottle up their energy.  Allow your emotions to flow in order to bring in more water.  Capricorns can also bring an impatient energy.  Arriving just a few days before Christmas, most of us start to feel the anticipation of family gatherings and gift unwrapping to come.  We also tend to rush the week between Christmas and the new year, ready to move on with our new goals and intentions.  Time is another representation of water.  Allow yourself to be more fluid and open to what flows to you, instead of always trying to control what’s to come.  When it comes to earth, Capricorns tend to be stubborn and hard-headed.  If you find yourself unwilling to budge somewhere, try to be more open minded and open to a range of potentiality.  If you’re feeling too watery or too grounded, embrace air and expansive openness.  Don’t let the energy of Capricorn season make you want to put yourself in an unnecessary box or keep you in a place where you don’t belong anymore.

This particular Capricorn season may have you feeling a bit all over the place.  Mercury will go both retrograde and direct (December 29-January 18), and Mars will finally go direct on January 12th.  Both of these planets are close to ours, and we will feel the impact of the cosmic shifts.  Don’t be surprised if you experience travel delays around the first of the year, or future vacation plans suddenly disrupted.  You may also find yourself struggling with technology, especially gadgets involved with your professional life.  You may also find yourself making a career shift in January, as Mars direct will have you wanting to pursue any alternative paths you’ve been considering.  Don’t be surprised if things end up completely different with your life by the time we enter Aquarius season on January 20th!  The cosmos will be in an entirely different alignment than it is now!

One of the best things you can do to prepare for this unknown future is to get yourself organized.  Although a watery archetype, Capricorn is an earth sign at its core and prefers structure.  This is a great season to declutter your material things and organize any messes you may have about.  It’s also a good time to bust out that new day planner and start scheduling in the steps you need to take toward your goals.  You may also want to get ahead on your taxes, budgeting, or other financial intentions, because Capricorn energy is known to be good with money.  Both fish and goats are known to be flexible.  Pay attention to any alternative opportunities that come your way this season.  With the Planet of Karma ruling right now, the choices you make could impact you in a long-term fashion.  Take this season slow and steady, and stay as stable as possible.  The more you ground into your core intentions and guiding light, the easier it will be to traverse the darkness of the unknown.
