Mother Moon Yoga is helping out Friends of Geode for the summer!
 
We will meet at Lake Geode Beach on Sundays in June for a yoga class benefiting the Concession Renovation Project.
 
Class is donation based. Simply give what you can!
Yoga starts at 10am and will last about 1 hour.
 
It is suggested to bring a large beach towel or blanket rather than a yoga mat for this event.
Bring a friend, some water, maybe some bug spray, and get ready to have fun!
 
 
This summer, we're taking our signature Yoga Nidra with Sound Healing class outside and onto the water!
 
Join Rachel from Mother Moon Yoga and Heather Dalhoff from Humble New Beginnings for a unique, immersive experience designed to help you fully unwind, restore, and reset.
Introducing “BYOF” – Bring Your Own Float - Sleep Yoga with Sound Healing!
 
Participants can choose to relax in the pool on their own float or rest on land around Heather's sound healing instruments. Whether on water or dry ground, the experience is deeply grounding and restorative.
 
EVENT DETAILS:
~$40 Pre-Registration is required. Message Mother Moon yoga to sign up.
 
~Arrive between 6:45-7pm to get settled.
 
~Rachel will start by leading a 20 minute guided practice with gentle, beginner-friendly yoga poses designed to prepare the body and mind for deep rest.

~Participants will then either transition to their float on water or their yoga mat on land and Rachel will lead a Yoga Nidra meditation, also known as "Sleep Yoga." This practice offers deep healing and rest and is considered to provide the equivalent of 3 or more hours of sleep in just under an hour.
 
~During the meditation, Heather will play a wide array of live instruments to create a rich, immersive and healing sound experience. Enjoy the vibrations of singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and more!
 
~Rachel and Heather, both Reiki Masters, will also offer gentle Reiki energy healing to all participants during the session.
 
~After class, there will be an optional 15–20 minute night swim for anyone who wishes to enjoy a relaxing dip under the evening sky.
 
~Floats and/or mats will not be provided for this event! Please bring your own.
 
WHY PRACTICE SLEEP YOGA & SOUND HEALING IN THE POOL?
Because rest, imagination, and spaciousness are what the dreamer within all of us craves—especially during the warm months of summer! This is a truly unique opportunity to experience stillness and sound in a new way.

All levels welcome. Float participants must be comfortable relaxing on water and known how to swim. Lifeguards will be on duty throughout the event for safety. Land spots are also available. Spacing is limited!

Rachel is a certified Prenatal Registered Yoga Teacher with over 9 years of experience supporting mothers. She brings both professional expertise and personal insight, having used prenatal yoga throughout her own pregnancy, birth, and transition into motherhood.

4-Week Prenatal Yoga Series + Couples Birth Prep Workshop
 
Calling all expecting mamas!
You're invited to a nurturing, supportive, and educational 4-week Prenatal Yoga series designed to support your body, calm your mind, and prepare you for birth—however your journey unfolds.
 
Each class includes:
 ~Safe and effective breathwork, movement, and meditation to ease common pregnancy discomforts and build strength, mobility, and confidence in your changing body
 
 ~Real-time guidance and discussion around pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood, plus time to connect with a circle of other mamas on the same path
 
 ~Weekly labor and birth support tips tailored to your individual plans—whether you're preparing for a natural birth, C-section, epidural, or something in between
 
 ~A supportive community space where you can share, ask questions, and feel seen on your unique journey
 ~
Access to the Couples Labor & Birth Prep Workshop on Saturday, June 28th from 2–5pm (normally $155!) for you and your birth partner to learn physical tools, comfort measures, and emotional support techniques together
 
This series is for all mamas at 10+ weeks—first time or seasoned, hospital or home birth, natural or medicated. The tools we’ll explore are adaptable and rooted in empowering you to feel informed, supported, and connected to your intuition, no matter the journey you anticipate.
 
Rachel is a Yoga Alliance Certified Prenatal Registered Yoga Teacher (PRYT) with over 9 years of experience supporting pregnant and postpartum women. She’s also a Certified Postnatal Yoga Teacher, Baby Yoga Teacher, and Core & Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Specialist.
Rachel brings a compassionate and grounded approach to class, shaped by both her professional expertise and personal experience as a mother who used prenatal yoga through her own pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.
 
Classes will be Saturdays in June (7th, 14th, 21st, 28th) from 10:30–11:45am + the Birth Prep Worksop 6/28 2-5pm.

At Mother Moon Yoga, we believe that birth is not just a medical event—it's a transformational experience! We also believe that every birthing mama deserves to feel supported, informed, and empowered to have the birth that’s right for them, and every partner deserves to feel confident in how to show up in that process with grounded presence and loving support.
 
This 3-hour workshop is designed for expecting mamas and their chosen birth partners. Whether you’re planning a natural birth, epidural, C-section, hospital, birth center, or home birth, this experience will provide you with practical tools, movement, and mindset strategies to support your unique journey.
 
What’s included in this workshop:
 ~Breathwork and movement for both mama and their partner—to help manage discomforts, stay grounded, and move energy through the body
 
 ~Supportive laboring poses and techniques mamas and partners can do together during early, active, and transitional phases of labor
 
 ~Partner-based comfort techniques to ease the intensity of labor, deepen connection, and promote a calm birth environment

~Open discussion and space to ask questions about birth preferences, fears, expectations, and support needs
 
 ~Tips for the early postpartum period and transition into new parenthood—because birth is just the beginning!
 
This workshop is a safe, inclusive, and welcoming space for all mamas at 10+ weeks and their chosen support person—whether that’s a partner, close friend, doula, or family member. If your birth partner cannot attend, you are welcome to bring another trusted support person. We also understand that birth can take a team! If you're a mama who plans to bring more than one support person to the workshop, please message us in advance for adjusted rates.

Join guest teacher Heather Dalhoff from Humble New Beginnings for 75 minutes of pure bliss!
 
She will combine physical postures and breathing techniques to dive deep within our own mind, body and spirit. We will connect within and notice how our mind and bodies can be brought to peace and calm simply using breath and gentle movement.
 
No experience is necessary. Heather will gently guide you with modifications. This is not about touching your toes or handstands, but about enjoying the journey of your practice and your own being. The magic is in our breath! This class will be a combination of movement with breath work and sound healing to deeply relax and send good healing vibrations right down to the cellular level!!
Sound healing uses the power of sound to restore one’s mind, body and spirit back to a state of homeostasis or balance. The harmonic vibrations from the instruments have a deep penetrating effect on the person, promoting healing, peace and well-being. The sound waves from the instruments enter the brain and heart inducing a deeper meditative and a more peaceful state. The sound resonates directly into our cellular memory releasing blockages and creating a profound sense of peace and relaxation.
 
It’s like receiving a full body massage from the inside out!
