Mother Moon Yoga Studio is at 834 Washington Street.  Doors open 15 minutes early and lock once class starts.

If we cancel due to weather, a notification will be made via email and social media at least 2 hours in advance, if possible.

Mother Moon Yoga is helping out Friends of Geode for the summer!  We have raised over $1800 together, and we're going to keep flowing and fundraising through the rest of summer!
 
We will meet at Lake Geode Beach on Sundays in August for a yoga class benefiting the Concession Renovation Project.
 
Class is donation based. Simply give what you can!
Yoga starts at 10am and will last about 1 hour.
 
It is suggested to bring a large beach towel or blanket rather than a yoga mat for this event, as this caters more to the sand.
Bring a friend, some water, anything else you need for the elements (sunscreen, bug spray, etc.) and get ready to have fun!
 

 

 

Embrace the journey of motherhood with our Prenatal Yoga class, a 75-minute session designed specifically for expecting mothers who are 10 weeks and beyond. This class is a sanctuary where you can safely practice yoga poses and breathwork techniques that cater to both you and your baby's wellbeing. Our aim is to provide comfort, prepare you for labor and birth, and foster a deeper connection between you and your baby.

 

This class is more than just yoga, it's a community of safe space. Here, you can engage in meaningful discussions and ask questions about pregnancy, birth, and motherhood with other expecting mothers, helping you to feel more secure and supported along your journey.

 

In addition to yoga and community connection, this class prioritizes the importance of relaxation and meditation during this special time. That's why our classes are a bit longer, allowing for an extended period of restoration and renewal at the end of each session.

 

*Rachel is a Yoga Alliance Certified Prenatal Registered Yoga Teacher (PRYT) with over 10 years of experience supporting pregnant and postpartum women. She is also a Certified Postnatal Yoga Teacher, Baby Yoga Teacher, and Core & Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation Specialist. Rachel brings a compassionate and grounded approach to class, shaped by both her professional expertise and personal experience as a mother who used prenatal yoga throughout her own pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.

Step into a healing space where rhythm meets energy!  In this unique class, we use the ancient power of the drum to activate, cleanse, and balance the 7 chakras.  The deep, grounding vibrations of drumming help move stagnant energy, calm the mind, and open the body's natural flow.  Each chakra is explored through specific rhythms, tones, and guided intention.  As we journey from root to crown, you will experience the drum not only as a musical instrument, but as a tool for deep energetic transformation.
 
In this class, you will experience:
*Guided chakra meditation with live drumming
*Drumming techniques for self-healing and balance
*Breathwork and sound vibration to release blockages
*A full-body energy reset through rhythem and stillness.
 
No experience is necessary.  This is a safe, welcoming space for all levels to reconnect with their inner rhythm and restore energetic balance.

Wear comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat and blanket if you have one.  We also have a limited number of mats, blankets, bolsters, and eye pilows for use at the studio on a first come, first serve basis. 
Join guest teacher Heather Dalhoff from Humble New Beginnings for 75 minutes of pure bliss!
 
She will combine physical postures and breathing techniques to dive deep within our own mind, body and spirit. We will connect within and notice how our mind and bodies can be brought to peace and calm simply using breath and gentle movement.
 
No experience is necessary. Heather will gently guide you with modifications. This is not about touching your toes or handstands, but about enjoying the journey of your practice and your own being. The magic is in our breath! This class will be a combination of movement with breath work and sound healing to deeply relax and send good healing vibrations right down to the cellular level!!
Sound healing uses the power of sound to restore one’s mind, body and spirit back to a state of homeostasis or balance. The harmonic vibrations from the instruments have a deep penetrating effect on the person, promoting healing, peace and well-being. The sound waves from the instruments enter the brain and heart inducing a deeper meditative and a more peaceful state. The sound resonates directly into our cellular memory releasing blockages and creating a profound sense of peace and relaxation.
 
It’s like receiving a full body massage from the inside out!

Full Moons are a time of pause and release, and the September full moon with a total lunar eclipse is the perfect time to surrender!

Join us on Monday, September 8th, for Restorative Roll Out & Yoga Nidra! Learn how to use massage balls for self trigger-point release and enjoy a 55 minute deep guided meditation known as "Sleep Yoga". This is a practice where you convince your mind and body into thinking you've slept for nearly 3 hours! If you need rest, this is the class for you!

This is also an opportunity to create a "Sankalpa". In Yoga, we use this "visualized intention" during the sleep practice to help co-create and manifest our reality! September's full moon sankalpa will theme around "buoyancy".

This experience takes place on Monday, September 8th, from 6:30-8pm.

Cost is $20 or 2 class punches.

The partial solar eclipse and New Moon in Virgo peak on the afternoon of Sunday, September 21st, initiating us into a more organized and intentional mindset.

We will set ourselves up for this new lunar cycle on the evening of Monday, September 22nd with Restorative Roll Out & Yoga Nidra!

Participants will spend the first 30 minutes of class learning how to use massage balls for self trigger-point release, helping to prepare the body for deeper relaxation, followed by a 50-55 minute deep guided meditation known as "Sleep Yoga". This practice influences your mind and body to feel like you have slept for nearly 3 hours! If you need rest, this is the class for you!

This experience also leads participants through active manifestation with a process called "Sankalpa". This visualized intention in Yoga is used during the sleep practice to help move individuals into a more co-creative "5D" reality. For the new moon, our Sankalpa will be themed around balance and organization.
